To Whom It May Concern:

The Heartland Foundation has united with the Champion By Design Institute under Project Achieve to endorse and support Enrique Montiel on his quest to become a 2004 U.S. Olympic Team member. The Heartland Foundation, along with Coach Bob Anderson, founder of the new Regional Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, member of the National Coaching Staff for USA Wrestling, and U.S. Technical Coach at the Atlanta Olympic Games, commend and support Enrique's ambition to become the very best he can be.

It is common knowledge that the United States does not fund its athletes, as do most foreign countries. Therefore, it becomes necessary for our athletes to seek private funding. Enrique needs your support!

We here at The Heartland Foundation thank you in advance for your interest in our Olympic hopeful, Enrique Montiel. Enrique is setting his sights on making the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team in Greco-Roman Wrestling. It is a lifelong dream that Enrique has for years prepared to reach. To become an Olympian, and represent us all at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens Greece, Enrique needs to make a total commitment to wrestling, that is why he needs your support.

Enrique has the heart, talent, desire, and specialized coaching support team necessary to become an Olympian! I wholeheartedly support this positive endeavor, and would be grateful for any financial assistance, or equivalent, that you can provide Enrique immediately! The Olympics come every four years, but preparation for them is a daily affair.

Your contribution is, of course, tax deductible. (State Tax I.D. #33-079-2600, Federal Tax I.D. #DLN 602346011) Please make your donation payable to The Heartland Foundation, and note on the check that it is for Enrique Montiel Olympic Dream. Any support that you offer is most greatly appreciated.

Again your thoughtfulness and support is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Mark Hanson, Ph.D.
President, The Heartland Foundation
